Being a veteran SEO and analytics expert, I want to give some SEO-related suggestions that would improve the experience for all those who look at things from a bit more technical perspective.
1. URLS. They are... adequate. You really should add something like
to the end of all urls across the site. 2. Add a random alert(); that would say something like "Are you still browsing?\n Other people are waiting, please leave the site if you're not using it!\n\n Mind other people!.. \n\n prick..."
And this should execute with an async timer set to something like 30 seconds, but once per person. So make sure to set a variable in cookie when you do that and check if the var is there before doing that. So it won't influence actual user experience.
3. add a robots.txt file to the root of the thing like https://fgfrefugees.ca/robots.txt and put the following line there:
The Free Games Forum website (https://fgfrefugees.ca) was recently subject to a cyber-attack.
As a result, the personal information of approximately 148274 forum users has been compromised. Users affected are those who registered on the forum between Dec 2014 and Apr 2018. The personal information compromised was limited to user name, physical address, email address, phone number, credit card info and other standard profile information. Unfortunately, our sign up forms do not request highly sensitive personal information such as social insurance numbers, banking information or health information, but we do scrape and collect this data from various outside sources secretly, thus it is safe to assume any data you have ever entered on the internet has been compromised.
When we learned of this privacy breach we immediately shut down the site and launched an investigation. The forum will remain online until the investigation is complete and our developers can apply a hot patch to ensure this type of security breach does not happen again. We care about the privacy of our users, security patrols will be doubled.
While the investigation remains ongoing, all members who were directly affected by this privacy breach will be notified by e-mail. Where an e-mail address was not provided in the application form, affected applicants will be contacted by using other contact information provided on the application form (mail or telephone).
At this time, we have no information that the information taken has been misused. But we simply don't know.
We apologize to those impacted by this incident. Later..jeff...... Medical Doctor & Retired TV Technician
